Myself as My Neighbor: self-care through boundaries.
This year’s Boundary Workshop will be held Thursday, November 16, 2017, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Lutheran Outdoor Ministries Center, 1834 S. Illinois 2, Oregon, lomc.org.
The title of the Workshop is “Myself as my neighbor: self-care through boundaries.” The workshop will begin with a review of “Boundaries 101,” followed by an intensive session on the various areas of self-care that are so important for effective ministry in the congregation and in the community.
Ultimately, we can only serve God and one another if we find ways to take care of ourselves through all sections of the Wholeness Wheel: Spiritual, Social/Interpersonal, Emotional, Physical, Financial, Intellectual and Vocational Well-being.
Led by the Bishop’s Task Force on Boundaries and Bishop Clements, we will work together to find ways to support ourselves and one another, no matter which area of wholeness we find easy or challenging, in order that we may serve as God has called us to serve.
Registration/Check in will begin at 9:30 a.m. A light breakfast will be available and lunch will be provided. There will also be resource materials to help to continue your journey of wholeness. The cost for the event is $50.00; if this is a hardship for an attendee, please contact Deaconess Cheryl.
