WHAT: A training event for Green Teams of congregations that have seen some success and want to learn how to accomplish more
AND for those congregations that want to learn how to start the process of greening their congregation!
LED BY: George Davis and Green Team leaders from the Northern Illinois Synod
WHEN: February 20, 2016 from 8:30am – 12:30pm (free-will offering lunch will be provided)
WHERE: Lutheran Outdoor Ministries Center’s Ragnar Moline Dining Hall
WHY: Stewardship of the Earth is an important initiative adopted by the synod council in the mid 2000’s. All people have reason to be concerned about the environmental state of the world. As Christians, we have a special call to care for the earth by reducing our negative impact upon God?s creation and by seeking to discover ways to care for God?s Earth.
WHO should attend: Any person interested in greening your congregation. Where possible, we encourage teams of 3 to 5 or more people who would serve on your congregation’s Green Team.
