NIS Green Team

The mission of the Synod Green Team is to encourage the congregations, agencies and institutions of the Northern Illinois Synod to become "greener" communities by providing educational opportunities and resources for

• showing how faith and ecology are interrelated, and

• teaching pragmatic means of becoming "greener."

Upcoming Events:

• Follow-up meeting from the Green Congregation Training Workshop (held at LOMC in February) will be November 1, beginning at 9:00 am, at Lutheran Outdoor Ministries Center. The event is free - but please contact LOMC at 815-732-2220 to register. Keynote speaker is Doug Scott, former mayor of Rockford.
