You recognize the importance of protecting those you care about, as you already supplement the basic group life insurance provided by your ELCA benefits.^* Should your loved ones need help meeting their financial goals, the supplemental coverage you’ve purchased will be there, even if you’re not.

During Annual Enrollment, we invite you to take stock of your benefits and make choices to support your well-being in the year ahead. It’s the easiest time of year to boost your life insurance protection. When you go online to select 2016 ELCA benefits, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Increase your coverage — *If you’re not already purchasing the maximum amount, simply complete an Evidence of Insurability (EOI) application for yourself or spouse, and you’ll be contacted if more
    information is needed. Even easier, no EOI is required to increase coverage for children.
  • Review your 2016 premiums — *Rates are set according to five-year age bands.**Will you**or your spouse**be age 25, 30, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, or 70 on Jan. 1? If so, you’ll see an increase in your premiums for 2016.

*Basic group life insurance benefit, provided by your sponsoring employer at no cost to you, is two times your annual defined compensation with a minimum benefit of $6,000, and a maximum of $50,000;
if you’re still sponsored at age 70-74, the benefit is 50% of that amount; if you’re still sponsored at age 75+, the benefit is 25% of that amount.
