On-campus housing

For those who have registered for on-campus housing as part of their registration for Synod Assembly, they should have received an e-mail regarding check-in and check-out of the on-campus housing.

Here is the information they will need to check into their room on Friday, June 17, and check out of their room on Saturday, June 18.

Housing is at the (Duane R.) Swanson Commons, 1010 38th Street, Rock Island. Each participant will have a single bed in a single room, with a shared bath. Bedsheets are provided; no pillows, blankets, towels, drinking cups, toiletries; these items need to be brought by the individual. 

Arrival

Friday, June 17 – The Swanson Commons Desk will be staffed at the following times, for key pickup and access to rooms in Swanson Commons:

  • 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. – Room keys and the key fob (used to open the building door) will be available to be picked up from the Swanson Commons desk
  • 8:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. – Room keys and the key fob (used to open the building door) will be available to be picked up from the Swanson Commons desk

Departure

Saturday, June 18 – You may check out of your room on Saturday as follows:

  • 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. – Rooms keys may be dropped off in the Centennial Hall Lobby at a table designated for key drop off. Please DO NOT leave keys on the unattended Swanson Commons desk.
  • 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – Room keys may be dropped off at the Swanson Commons desk, with the person staffing the desk.

Important Note: If Swanson Commons room key and key fob are not returned on Saturday, June 18, there will be a $75 replacement key charge, plus a $30 key fob replacement charge (per key, per fob), to be paid by the individual registrant.

Other Information for those staying in on-campus housing

Information on the rooms in Swanson Commons: Each participant will have a single bed in a single room, with a shared bath. Bedsheets are provided; no pillows, blankets, towels, drinking cups, toiletries; these items need to be brought by the individual.

Information on breakfast on Saturday morning, June 18

As part of the registration for housing on campus, breakfast is provided for those staying in campus housing. Breakfast is available at the Gerber Center Dining Hall, beginning at 6:30 a.m. A reminder that check-in for the Saturday morning Plenary IV session will begin at 7:30 a.m. and the session will begin at 8:30 a.m.

The blocks of rooms reserved at the Radisson on John Deere Commons and at the Stoney Creek Hotel & Conference Center have now been released. However, if you still need to make a hotel reservation for the night of June 17, there are many other options available in the Quad Cities area.
