Early registration is now open for the second Rostered Ministers Gathering, taking place July 20-23 in Phoenix, Ariz., under the theme “Rekindle the Gift Within You” (2 Timothy 1:6). The ELCA invites pastors and deacons to participate in this opportunity to remember, reclaim, rekindle and revive themselves alongside colleagues and friends across the church. Register now and let this be a chance for fellowship, renewal, continuing education, worship, Bible study and spiritual refreshment.
Lenten study guide is available for you and your congregation!
Lent is here! If you are still looking for a devotional or study guide, ELCA World Hunger has you covered! Among many other resources, ELCA World Hunger has developed a study guide for the season. This five-session resource is designed to deepen your devotional time during the season and can be used by individuals or groups. Each session draws on the Scripture readings for Lent and tells a story of hope, gathered from a ministry that ELCA World Hunger supports, to inspire prayerful thought about what it means to be church for the sake of the world.
We are excited to announce our new initiative: Total Inclusion! Widening the Welcome at ELCA Outdoor Ministries. A partnership with Lutheran Outdoor Ministries (LOM), the association of camps and retreat centers affiliated with the ELCA, the initiative is designed to equip and empower outdoor ministry organizations as they move toward more intentional welcome of people who historically have been marginalized in the church. Total Inclusion! will equip outdoor ministry organizations to understand, speak out against and combat discrimination based on race, gender, disability, sexual orientation or social status.

Join us in remembering Bishop Chilstrom
Join us in remembering Herbert W. Chilstrom, the first presiding bishop of the ELCA, who died Jan. 19 at his home in Green Valley, Ariz. The ELCA celebrates his life and his work for this church. Through tears, but in sure and certain hope of the resurrection, we rejoice. Read Presiding Bishop Elizabeth Eaton’s pastoral message here.
International Women’s Day Offering
This International Women’s Day, your gifts to the ELCA’s International Women Leaders (IWL) initiative will go twice as far. Thanks to the generosity of supporters of IWL, gifts will be matched dollar for dollar up to $100,000. You can help expand opportunities for women around the world as we strive for a church — and society — built on true gender equity. On March 8, our congregation will celebrate International Women’s Day and take an offering for IWL. Give a gift and invest in the future of women leaders. Learn more at ELCA.org/IWL.
