Pr. Elizabeth Martin
This last fall we constructed a Little Free Library & Pantry. One side is for children’s books and the other side is for food, hygiene, and paper products. It sits in our churchyard near the parking lot. The premise is: take what you need, give what you can. It is supported by both the congregation and the community. When COVID-19 hit, our local food pantry closed. At that time we converted the library side to a pantry and loaded it up. The community has been great at helping us keep it stocked. When we started it we thought it might only be a small help and supplement, but it has become an essential help to the people of Harvard and a way that we can join together to care for our neighbor.
