Bishop Stacie Fidlar, Northern Illinois Synod, will be part of this trip and invites members of Northern Illinois congregations to join her. “As we commit to being an Anti-Racist church and Jesus’ core command to love our neighbor, walking through this history of the civil rights movement is deeply important. This journey calls us to open our hearts and minds, and let the scales drop from our eyes about the realities of the past AND the present. This is an opportunity to learn, to be transformed, and to recommit to the work of racial healing.”
