A 24-hour retreat for Church leaders at Lutheran Outdoor Ministries Center but on by the Advocacy Subcommittee.

Join fellow church leaders for a transformative overnight retreat designed to strengthen your advocacy skills and offer space to renew your spirit. In a time when many faith leaders are called to be voices for justice in their communities, this retreat offers practical training, spiritual renewal, and restorative rest.

This experience is intentionally crafted for clergy, lay leaders, and faith-based advocates who feel the weight of ongoing advocacy work and the toll it can take emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Through interactive workshops, reflective practices, and communal worship, participants will deepen their capacity to advocate effectively while tending to their own well-being.

Whether you're navigating the frontlines of justice work or looking to sustain your calling with more balance, this retreat is a space to refuel, re-center, and return empowered.

Cost of the retreat is $50 per person, registration is now open and closes on November 10, 2025.

Retreat Highlights:

  • Workshops on effective advocacy strategies: Learn tools for engaging public policy, building coalitions, and speaking truth to power from a faith-rooted lens.
  • Burnout and resilience sessions: Explore the signs of advocacy fatigue and discover sustainable rhythms of rest, boundary-setting, and renewal.
  • Spiritual nourishment: Guided meditations, evening vespers, and morning devotions to reconnect with your calling and restore your soul.
  • Community and connection: Time for dialogue, laughter, and rest with others who understand the joys and struggles of faith-based advocacy.

The event will start at Noon on Thursday, November 13th and end at Noon on Friday, November 14th.
