Rostered Ministers are invited to join the Rev. Dr. Reginald Blount of Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary as he presents, "What Got You Here Won't Get You There: Reclaiming Your Sense Of Call In A Rapidly Changing Church."
In his book What Got You Here Won’t Get You There, Marshall Goldsmith states “If you know what matters to you, it’s easier to commit to change. If you can’t identify what matters to you, you won’t know when it’s being threatened. And in my experience, people only change their ways when what they truly value is threatened.” Is our sense of call being “threatened” as we serve in a rapidly changing church we were not trained for? Believing that God is doing a new thing (Isaiah 43:19), this workshop will offer opportunities to explore new tools, new ways, new models to faithfully live out one’s call in a rapidly changing world.
This event is a one-day workshop that will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 3:00 p.m.
This event has a tiered registration fee in the hope that this continuing education event can be accessible to all interested parties. On the registration form (below), you will find several options in terms of cost. Please choose the option that works best for you.
- Tier A—$60: The Tier A cost of $60 will cover the actual cost of the event, including speaker, snacks, lunch, etc.
- Tier B—$80: The Tier B cost of $80 will cover the actual cost of the event, including lunch, and will also contribute a portion of this fee to support someone else’s participation.
- Tier C—$40: The Tier C cost of $40 will contribute to the cost of the event and is partially subsidized.
