O God of love, as your Son washed the feet of his disciples, he revealed his undying love that would lead him to the cross. May this simple act be a sign of our love for one another, and our call to serve our neighbors and all those in need, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
A blessing for Good Friday (Sundays and Seasons):
O Christ, Lamb of God, on this day we offer you the adoration of our hearts, for on the cross you reveal your suffering love. May we who celebrate the triumph of the cross receive the assurance of your victory over death and the hope of the resurrection, for you live and reign forever and ever. Amen.
A blessing for Easter Eve (Sundays and Seasons):
God of new life, through our baptism into Christ you have raised us with him to the joy of the resurrection. You have brought us through the Red Sea and fed us with the food and drink of the promised land. May the fire of your love renew our faith and deepen our commitment to you, that we might faithfully live in the covenant of baptism, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
