After a year of lock-down, St. Barnabas Lutheran Church in Cary knew they needed to provide an Easter event that would remind people of the new life we find in Jesus.
Rather than the traditional egg hunt they'd always offered, the congregation created an Easter Eggstravaganza that included multiple socially-distanced stations telling the story of Holy Week and Easter.
Ninety-nine children, along with their parents and grandparents, attended the event.
"It's the most fun my kids have had in months," said one mother.
The congregation was reminded of how hungry people are for the good news Jesus brings us.
