Back by popular demand, 6th through 8th graders are invited to the 2024 Middle School One Day Retreat on October 26th from 10 am to 5 pm.
New this year we are running simultaneous events at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sterling and at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Rockford! Congregations are invited to indicate which site they will be attending on the registration form.
The day begins at 10 am at both sites with some games and learning before lunch. After lunch, it is time to turn our trunks into masterpieces as we set up for Trunk or Treat with LSSI. After we have passed out candy and had a costume parade, we will gather once more for some debriefing and worship before sending you on your way.
During Trunk or Treat we will have a costume parade with prizes and a competition for the best trunk at both sites. Get creative and get into the spirit of Halloween. Please keep trunks and costumes family-friendly.
The cost is $25 per congregation, you are welcome to bring as many youth as you would like. Please indicate how many cars will be participating in Trunk or Treat. Groups are responsible for bringing candy and other prizes for your trunks. Lunch and snacks will be provided for everyone.
