The Nominating Committee is a group of lay people and rostered ministers appointed by the Synod Council. The Committee is composed of 12 members, one member from each of the eight conferences and four additional members from any conference in the synod.

The 2022 Nominating Committee is seeking nominees for individuals to stand for election to open positions on Synod Council and Synod Standing Committees. Here are the offices for which they are seeking nominees. If interested, please complete the form below

The offices for which nominees are sought to stand on the general ballot at the 2022 Synod Assembly are:

  • Synod Council, three-year term, layperson (2 positions).
  • Synod Council, three-year term, rostered minister (2 positions).
  • Synod Council, one-year term, youth member (confirmed; no older than 17 years old when elected)
  • Synod Council, Secretary, four-year term
  • Congregational Life Committee, three-year term, layperson.
  • Congregational Life Committee, three-year term, rostered minister (2 positions).
  • Global Mission Committee, three-year term, rostered minister (2 positions).
  • Mission Support Committee, three-year term, layperson.
  • Mission Support Committee, three-year term, rostered minister.
  • Outreach Committee, three-year term, layperson (3 positions)
  • Outreach Committee, three-year term, rostered minister. (3 positions)
  • Social Ministry Committee, three-year term, layperson.
