First, Chadwick

WELCOME to First Lutheran Church in Chadwick, IL. Situated in Carroll County in the Northwest section of Illinois, we are one of 144 congregations in the Northern Illinois Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. 

We offer worship services each Sunday, Sunday School classes during the school year, Vacation Bible School, adult book studies and opportunities to serve and fellowship together. Holy Communion is celebrated on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Sundays.
 
The Sunday School children participate in a children’s sermon each week, and special programs at Christmas and in the spring each year. Confirmation instruction for junior high takes place each year. A new junior/senior high study group also meets each Sunday.
 
First Lutheran has a choir, which generally sings on the 2nd and 4th Sundays. The choir is currently suspended, however, due to COVID-19 concerns.

We welcome you to our summer worship services at 9:00 a.m. (Services begin at 9:30 a.m. September through May.) If you are looking for a church family, we welcome you with open arms.
