After we completed the conference, we spent 3 days touring the various ministries of the ALC. On those days, we had the opportunity to meet with the pastors from the area we visited. Even though some had to travel a long way, 15-20 pastors came each day just to meet us. Each pastor was given a few minutes to introduce themselves and to share the joys and challenges they are facing in their congregation. We heard so many wonderful and touching stories. With each one, I realized that despite all of the cultural, economic, and geographical differences we have, our churches share many of the same joys and challenges. There is a lot that we can learn from each other.
It was during these interactions that I truly felt the power of community and fellowship. Listening to their stories, it became clear that our faith provides a universal bond that transcends any barriers. As we exchanged thoughts and experiences, a deep sense of connection and mutual understanding blossomed. I found inspiration in their dedication and resilience. The pastors’ stories were not just tales of hardship but also of hope and triumph, providing lessons that resonated deeply within us. In sharing our experiences, we have sown the seeds of a stronger Christian community. This experience underscored the importance of collaboration and empathy as we work together to nurture and uplift our relationships with our Indian brothers and sisters.
